I'm a certified teacher with a Master's in Secondary Social Studies Education and a Bachelor's in Philosophy, with minors in History and Political Science.
Both degrees were earned at the University of Scranton in the United States. I also earned a Cambridge CELTA certificate for teaching English to speakers of other languages at New Zealand Language Centers in Auckland, New Zealand. My seven years of teaching experience include stints as a grade 8 and grade 2 classroom teacher where I taught all core subjects. I've also taught ESL from the the elementary to adult education levels, including in a one-on-one tutoring role for adults. My teaching career has taken me to remote North Ontario, South Korea, the Czech Republic and Australia. University level tutoring experience has included undergraduate philosophy, history, and political science, and I am comfortable tutoring all humanities and social science subjects. I am especially happy to provide tutoring in counselling/psychology as I have completed 24 credits of graduate and undergraduate coursework in the field.
