Certified Tutor

I am currently a student of Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA. I have a double major in French and International Studies with a concentration in European Studies and a double minor in Italian and philosophy. For the past four years, I have worked a swim instructor at the School of Swimming in Rocky Hill, CT. I have worked with children ranging in age from three to fourteen, teaching them proper swim techniques and basic water safety. Seeing children understand and correctly practice new skills not only amazes parents, but most importantly proves to the students that they are capable of creating change. This is one of the most incredible and enlightening parts of teaching others. I mostly focus tutoring in languages, primarily French, English, and Latin. My favorite subject to tutor is French, because I personally adore the grammar, culture, and practicality of French, but I also understand the limitless benefits of knowing another language. From my experience of working with children, it is very important to meet each student where they are in their education and understanding. I strive for an individualistic approach in every teaching encounter. I also believe each person learns in different ways, either visually, auditorily, or kinesthetically; therefore, I use all methods to find the best approach for each student. In my spare time, I love travelling, cooking, baking, crafting new projects around my home, and watching international films.
