Hi! I have a passion for learning, teaching, and all things mathematics and physics related. When we're not learning about those subjects, I love to talk about skiing and running, and bouldering. I believe a successful student starts with a passion for learning. With passion comes motivation. Once you have that motivation, everything becomes easier to do.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I love learning- and I want others to have the desire to learn more. It takes more than homework help to create a successful student. Once a student loves what they are learning and wants to continue to learn more and more, they begin to beyond completing homework just to get a good grade- they spend time learning in their free time and exploring more in depth topics related to what they are learning in class.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
First, by providing the student with a desire to learn beyond the bare minimum, I am able to teach the student to become an independent learner. Next, I provide the resources to be an independent learner so that the student can continuously learn beyond the bare minimum.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I love to spend some of the first session by getting to know the student personally. I ask questions about hobbies, passions, and similar extracurricular activities. After we know each other, I like to begin to discuss their favorite subjects in school. After that is covered, we begin with the subject at hand.
