Certified Tutor

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Emory University (Atlanta, GA). Upon graduating from Emory, I was accepted into Teach For America's Las Vegas Valley corps. As a member of the corps, I became a licensed teacher and have been teaching middle school science for the last three years. I recently attained my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in secondary sciences from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

I am available to tutor in all subjects at the elementary and middle school level. The subjects that I am most excited about are science and math!

Having worked with hundreds of students and taken courses in instruction, I am knowledgeable of several strategies, resources and methods to reach learners at all levels in ways that the learner will connect with most.

I believe that everything can be exciting to learn once a meaningful connection has been made between what we are learning and our lives. I also believe that struggles lead to some of our greatest successes especially in education, growth and development.

I am a lover of the arts and entertainment. I grew up in a ballet company in Atlanta and study acting in Los Angeles. I also enjoy reading and writing in my spare time.
