What is your teaching philosophy?

• To teach one how to fish rather than just giving one a fish I have great enthusiasm for teaching because I am always thinking that "teaching" is not only concentrated on how to teach, but also about how to let students learn. Education serves to give students the power to learn. Its purpose is to teach the processes of learning so that whatever the place, time, and motivation, students can be in control of their own learning. They are given the tools of mastering the learning process and education shows them how to build a future with these tools. The student uses the tool box, that holds all of the tools that can be used when needed to solve problems, make decisions, find an answer. • To be a teacher who knows how to always change and innovate teaching methods to keep developing students' motivation. I think wise teachers know that they cannot "pour it in." Children are interested learners. They enjoy finding out about new things and they are adept at memorizing certain kinds of information, as witnessed by their quick acquisition of sports statistics, lyrics to popular songs, attributes of special automobiles, or details of favorite performers' lives. When interest is high, the substance, the "stuff," is easily retained. Positive motivation is critical in promoting deep and lasting learning. Besides, understanding students' motivations helps to design the curriculum. Knowing the students, their personalities, and learning styles helps to design the instruction. • Â Showing my sincere concern for students' welfare, knowing that my care would impact their self-control and self-discipline as they tend to be more responsible for their own behavior. I even read sentences from a book named "The Tao of Teaching," it says that: "What interests you, the teacher, is not unimportant, but it cannot come first. When you show your students that you care about them, they will return your interest with interest." So, I got to know that a good teacher will love students as teachers love himself or herself. Showing students that they are loved is a gift that wise teachers may give their students. Love does not have to be demonstrated as syrupy affection, nor does a teacher need to become a parent. Rather, teachers need to provide enjoyment in reflection, caring, and respect. Developing self-love is also critical for teachers. Victims of low self-esteem may find it hard to reach out to others. Respect my own individuality and be proud of my work as an educator. Consider my students, and know that change will always be part of my regular routine. • Providing opportunities for their individual growth through removal of hampering influences. The reason why I want to be a Chinese teacher is not only because I want to be a disseminator of Chinese history and Chinese culture but also I want to be a role model to my students and inspire each individual to face challenges in their performance. I want to make them realize that each individual is special and possesses a variety of talents. And the most important thing is I will reach out to all my students without bias and prejudice towards the "least" of the students and let them feel much more self-confident and self-motivation.
