I grew up in Denver, CO and I am currently a junior at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA where I study Biology and Public Health. After college, I hope to attend medical school and become an OB/GYN. School was always challenging for me. I had poor reading comprehension and I really struggled with math. No matter how hard I worked, sometimes the material just would not click. I worked with my teachers and tutors who helped me overcome many of my learning barriers. I have been tutoring students for 6+ years in all academic and organizational areas. I am patient, kind, understanding, and willing to take the time that each student needs to understand a concept. I understand school work does not come naturally for everyone, and I am here to help you through whatever might be challenging you. I look forward to working with you and getting through this together!

What is your teaching philosophy?
My philosophy is to meet each student where they are. There is no one right way to learn or understand something, and I always strive to approach each topic from a perspective that will help you achieve your goals and not feel overwhelmed.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session, I will talk to you and get to know what kind of student you are. I will find out what we need to focus on and what teaching styles work for you, and then we will move forward.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
The most important part of being an independent learner is having the confidence to take your learning into your own hands. I will help you build up your confidence to tackle anything that you find challenging!
