Certified Tutor

I believe all students and teachers are unique. It is this unique relationship that can create extraordinary learning and growth. I graduated from Colorado College with a B.A. in History/Political Science, and received my teaching certification in Secondary Social Studies Curriculum and Education from the University of Colorado, Boulder. I have been a middle and high school classroom teacher for 11 years, teaching Social Studies and English. I have 6 years of experience teaching Reading Intervention to students that were 2 to 8 years below grade level. These students averaged nearly 3 years of growth per year in my classroom. The high school Speech & Debate program that I coach has been ranked in the top 10% of all programs nationwide for five straight years. I love working with kids and watching their academic and personal growth!
