Certified Tutor

我是一个2012年奇卡德保罗大学的毕业生go where I double majored in American Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies. Upon graduating, I joined Teach for America and spent 2 years teaching kindergarten in an underserved school in St. Louis while simultaneously earning my initial certification in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri- St. Louis. In addition to leading my kindergarten class in Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science instruction, I also tutored 3rd-6th graders in Math and English Language Arts after school. Currently, I work as a Program Coordinator for a tutoring program and oversee Math and English tutors from Pre-K to 10th grade. My varied interests and experiences with different age groups allows me to tutor a wide range of subjects at many different grade levels. If I had to pick a favorite subject to tutor, though, it would be writing because I enjoy helping others develop their thoughts and ideas into something they can share with others. My teaching philosophy is differentiation, differentiation, differentiation! No two people are the same so no two people learn exactly the same way! I work hard to understand my students interests, strengths, and struggles in order to create lesson plans that will help them succeed and gain confidence. When I am not working, I enjoy reading anything from YA novels to Anna Karenina (and everything in between), movies, yoga, and crafting.
