Certified Tutor
I am a recent graduate of Binghamton University/SUNY Binghamton with a BA in History. During my four years, I spent time at WSKG, the local PBS/NPR station, working closely as part of their Educational outreach programs designing teaching materials and helping at hands-on events in the field. While a student, I tutored many of my peers in subjects ranging from American history to writing and test preparation. Although I am confidant in a number of varied topics, history, from American to modern world to ancient civilizations, remain my favorite. I love the moment when a student starts connecting ideas and historical events and themes. I sincerely feel that the education system is one of, if not THE most important systems in the world today and cannot wait to see how it evolves and changes in the 21st century. If I can leave any of my students with just one thing, it would be a better sense of confidence and excitement about education and learning. Through Varsity, I hope to help and encourage students to work hard and strive to achieve more.
In my free time, I enjoy photography, traveling, and the outdoors-I recently combined all three by driving across the country with several friends after graduation.
