Certified Tutor

I received my Bachelor of Arts from Whittier College with a major in Political Science and International Relations and a minor in Spanish Art and Literature. Immediately after college I went on to obtain a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Law from the University of Colorado Denver.

After graduate school I spent two years working for the bill drafting office of the Colorado General Assembly as a Legislative Editor and Assistant Bill Drafter. Following my experience at the capitol, I worked for multiple nonprofit organizations which emphasized civic engagement and community outreach.

I spent three years in college as a peer mentor and teaching assistant for freshman writing seminars in history, politics, and philosophy. One of the nonprofits I worked with after graduate school focused on teaching K-12 students environmental stewardship and civic engagement through service learning. This is where I discovered my passion to empower young people to be active participants in their communities and local government. I tutor high school and college writing, AP Language and Composition, high school social studies, civics, AP Government, and public speaking. Currently, I am the speech and debate coach at a local suburban Denver High School.

My interests and hobbies include playing guitar, singing, reading, yoga, martial arts, hockey, and enjoying the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
