我am currently working on my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Teaching is my passion, and I am never happier than when I am helping students make sense of new information. Although I am getting my certification to work with children grades K-6, I love working with students of all ages.
我have worked for an educational camp called College for Kids for seven years as an assistant and as an instructor. I have also volunteered as a literacy advocate for Ready Readers and as a tutor for Girls Inc. In my free time, I like to read books, bake, and train for races; I recently completed my first half marathon!
My approach to tutoring is recognizing that everyone has a different learning style. Experimenting with different approaches to learning, whether that be visual, auditory, or tactile- kinesthetic, enables the student to not only grasp the material, but also retain it. All it takes is exploring what works best for each individual.
