I'm an experienced standardized test and English tutor with a passion for teaching and helping students feel confident on test day -- and get the scores they want. I graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a B.A. in English, and I am working on my Master's degree at New York University in Literary Reportage. I also have a degree in Documentary Film from George Washington University.

I have worked as a writer and journalist for the past five years, and my expertise lies in helping students better their vocabulary, reading comprehension, and essay writing skills. My teaching style is to work together with the student to help them arrive at the correct answer on their own, which I find leads students to be far more likely to remember how to do the problem on test day. I'm very patient and focus heavily on those areas where a student is weakest. When I'm not working, I love to travel, read fiction and nonfiction, play volleyball, watch films, and discover new parts of the city. I live in Brooklyn with my pet boxer/pitbull Zora.
