Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Central Michigan University. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with an Athletic Training emphasis and a Master of Arts degree in Health Education. I have been a teacher at every grade level from kindergarten through university students. Prior to moving to Arizona, I worked as a teacher's aide, and then a teacher in a summer migrant education school, and taught two years of biology and health. Part of one job was coordinating a tutoring program for junior high school students. I have nine years of teaching experience.

While I am comfortable tutoring many subjects and most grade levels, I have a passion for biology, anatomy and physiology, English, grammar, and writing. The majority of my teaching has been with 6th through 10th grade students.

We know that students do not all learn the same way; one of my biggest strengths is creativity in teaching and tutoring. I am also very energetic, caring and a great listener.

I love to travel and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. I am an avid reader, a movie buff, cook regularly, and write occasionally.

I have been blessed to be able to teach incredible students and also work as an athletic trainer for many elite high school, college, professional and Olympic athletes. I look forward to assisting you and your child.
