Certified Tutor

在学校我最喜欢的科目是Chemistry. While I tutor a variety of subjects, Chemistry remains my favorite both to learn and to teach. My Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA is in Chemistry, and I have a Master of Science in Chemistry from Georgia State University. From there, I obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from UC Irvine. I have tutored high school students who went on to attend top institutions. Additionally, during my PhD years I mentored undergraduates who went on to attend great institutions, as well, for their professional and graduate degrees. I am also a native Mandarin Chinese speaker. My teaching style is one in which I want to inspire the students to see that learning can be fun rather than be a chore; to have great understanding in any subject requires hard work, but the reward is in knowing and having the confidence to say "I am an expert in this field." I believe in actively engaging the student while teaching, rather than just disseminating information. In my free time, I love to go hiking and camping, read, and play organized sports.
