For many students, seventh grade can feel like a bit of a slump. It typically lacks the excitement that sixth graders experience when first transitioning to the middle school environment, and it does not include the eager anticipation of beginning high school that accompanies eighth grade studies. It can be easy for students to lose focus at this point in their middle school education, especially if they struggle with or outpace one of their classes.
七年级一般包括数学类,language arts, history, science, a selection of electives, and potentially the beginning of formal study of a foreign language. Given this wide breadth of subject matter, it is easy to see how students can encounter difficulties in understanding the subject material in one or more of their classes. In addition to the breadth of topics seventh grade covers, students may struggle with the type and pace of instruction they receive. Perhaps they learn material faster than the pace at which one of their classes presents it, but they have trouble keeping up in another class. Perhaps another class is difficult for them because the way in which their instructor presents the material doesn't mesh well with their personal learning style.
