I am a "nitty-gritty detail-oriented" tutor with over 5+ years of experience in tutoring online. I have learned the art of explaining old concepts in new ways and I am known for explaining a concept a million different ways to the student who missed it the first hundred. Sometimes our learning curves take longer than others; that's ok. I'd rather spend my time helping a student get a concept right the first time, rather than racing through material that makes the student feel lost and stupid! I create personal curriculums for my students that are tailored to fit their circumstances. (I have had great success doing this for Latin tutoring, my Language/Literature/History summer classes, and have recently started to do it with Business and Accounting.) I hold 2 Associate of Arts (Business and GER) from Front Range Community College in Colorado, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Regent University in Virginia, and I'm currently working towards getting a Masters in Military History from Norwich University in Vermont. I tutor in Latin 1-4, Business, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Middle School, Other, and Languages.

My favorite subject is Latin, and it has been my first and foremost favorite subject to tutor in. I have over 10+ years' experience tutoring in it from every point of view. I love the language's irrationality: it scrambles its words, demands a rigorous knowledge of grammar, and expands your English vocabulary all at the same time! This is great for students because if you see a word that you can translate in the middle or end of a sentence, then you can freely bounce around without it messing with the word order in English.
My focus is very academic (even when I'm not tutoring). I love playing and listening to music, reading the great books of literature, translating Latin books, researching and writing original Language/Literature/History curriculums, teaching my WW1 history and THE HOBBIT curriculum, learning new things, going to school, and exercising with the family dog.
