Nursing is my passion; educating is my strength! I am a graduate of Texas Tech University! I have been in the healthcare field for 20 years. I started my tutoring career helping students in Nursing school. My nursing career is a rainbow of colors:nursing homes, case management, hospital educator, diabetes educator, heart failure educator, wound care, preceptor, on boarding training, critical care, telemetry, home health; and now, I own my own nurse holistic company. I have been in many fields over the 20years! I started as a dental assistant, radiology, sitter, CNA, LVN, but then into the accelerated BSN program at Texas Tech. I did not do an LVN bridge; I wanted the full experience of Texas Tech. My speciality is the NCLEX, explaining rationale, and retention methods. I am proud to say I have a ton of friends all over the world now; in my field because of the students I have tutored to pass the NCLEX! They tell me my gift is breaking things down so that you really understand the content. I love going through rationales and finding what is missing; that we need to get to click. I'm the queen of concept maps and layering information for retention. I developed a retention method, on my own, that has worked over my years of NCLEX tutoring. I have materials, techniques, and a bright personality to share and remind you of the joy of nursing! Test taking techniques, retention, entrance exams, HESI, ATI, Hurst, Kaplan, Saunders, EVOLVE, I have done them all and can help you reach your goals in nursing school or with your boards! I'm great at listening to what your weakness is and build them up, so that you're strong in every area of nursing. I pride myself in your success. I also specifically specialize in learning disabilities. I personally think, people with these issues are brilliant and their minds just work differently which, makes them very smart; you just have to find the right pathway for retention. Once you do, all the lights start to ignite and the knowledge starts to stick. The body is a beautiful machine and once you learn the mechanisms of action of each system, it's like a puzzle gets completed! Join me in learning and let's get you where you want to be! Share your goals and all your concerns with me; after years of doing this I want to encourage others to be honest and open and vulnerable about your weaknesses; because that's where your strength lies! When you can identify the weakness and build off those, to make them strong, you become a better nurse and human!
