我hold a Ph.D. in History, with a focus on modern Latin American, World, and U.S. history. I have taught at the university level in Canada and the United States, and at the high school level (Upward Bound Program Latin American Youth Center) in Washington, D.C. I have also worked as Spanish language tutor.

我n the past, I have worked as Director of Research and Policy for a non-profit in Washington, D.C., freelance translator and interpreter (English and Spanish). He also worked as Country Specialist (2005-2007) for Amnesty International USA.

我流利掌握英语和西班牙语。我have given presentations on human rights in Latin America and translated for human rights defenders from that region in meetings involving US governmental representatives from Congress and the State Department. I am an avid reader; enjoy political issues, sports, especially running and soccer, and spending time with my son. I am very passionate about teaching and believe that knowledge and education are the keys to success in life!
