My progress has been the greatest source of inspiration for me so far this school year. The changes I have made in my personality have been noticeable. It became easier for me to assert myself and be more confident. However, I also wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my friends and family. Their constant encouragement helped me to become the best version of myself.

When I first started college, I lacked self-confidence and found it difficult to make friends. In an effort to change that part of me, I joined clubs and organizations. Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority was my opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. I met so many strong, beautiful, and independent women who aligned with my goals. It was their example that inspired me to speak my mind regardless of what other people thought. The positions I took within the organization were secretary and academic chair. Keeping records of meetings and communicating with sisters about their concerns and needs were my responsibilities as a secretary. My role as academic chair was to ensure sisters were succeeding in their classes by holding them accountable for their grades. These roles helped me become more organized, efficient, and compassionate towards my friends.
