What is an education to me? An education to me can mean many different things ranging from a future to an escape from my life. I know for me in the future I would like to go to The University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas for a nursing degree. But what does an education mean to me right now in high school? To me a high school education means a future and an escape from high school life; an escape from all the immature and disrespectful people that I have grown up with. It’s a chance to start over.
High school doesn’t really have a meaning as we are all forced to go through school unless we want a truancy ticket. But what is one thing that you can gain from high school? Well one thing you can gain from high school is a high school education which can help you get a job in the future and start a family. There are many things that you can do after you have your high school diploma, like going to trade school or college to help get the certifications you need for the job you want. There are ways that you can get your trade school certifications in high school but not all high schools are able to offer this to their students.
In the end a high school education doesn’t really mean anything to me as we all are forced to go to school and get our education but it does open up many different windows for the future. For me I know that with my high school diploma I am going to go to a private college in Leavenworth Kansas and get my nursing degree. Where I will later join the military and become a military nurse for either the Air Force or the Navy.
