I am a graduate of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a major in Mathematics and a minor in History. In the near future, I intend to return to UBC to complete a Bachelor of Education. During my third year of university, I returned to my hometown in southeastern BC and began volunteering at my former high school. I worked mostly in Mathematics classes, but also in History and Planning classes. I really enjoyed tutoring in Math classes because, while the material was challenging, the students demonstrated a great deal of determination and creativity in order to succeed.
I currently live in Prague, CZ and work as an English teacher. Here I mostly work with adults and young adults. As my goals and experience reflect, I have a longstanding and pervasive passion for education, as both a student and instructor. My goal as a teacher is to make challenging academic material as approachable and exciting as possible. I aim to challenge students and instill confidence in their abilities. All I ask is that you try your best!

I enjoy watching TV series and movies in my free time. Some of my favourite shows are Stranger Things, The Office, New Girl, and Sherlock. Some of my favourite movies are Forrest Gump, Harry Potter, and Marvel movies. Since moving to Prague, I also enjoy going on walks to explore new neighborhoods and cafes. I have a farmers' market near my apartment that I like to visit every Saturday.
