Language and speech, which I have studied for my Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics degree from the University of Victoria, remains a passion of mine.

我热心帮助学生达到ir language goals and to feel confident and excited about learning, reading, writing, speaking, and improving their English. As someone who enjoys learning new languages myself, I have firsthand experience with the learning process, as well as linguistic training in the syntactic, phonetic, phonological, and morphological processes that help learners to learn English. I also have received academic training in teaching methods for ESL and EFL.

I have spent many years volunteering in elementary schools and working with children to improve their language skills. I have also spent time volunteering with speech pathologists and working directly with students of various ages on their speech and language skills. I enjoy travelling and have spent a lot of time abroad in Europe engaging with learners aged 18 years and up, helping them to learn or improve their English.

I have found that learners and I have the most fun and success using immersive, interactive approaches to learning and improving their English skills. My techniques result in confident, conversational and successful English speakers. My approachable communication skills allow me to quickly identify my learner's needs and specific styles, making the tutoring process personalized and effective.

Some of my interests outside of academia include travelling, reading, being active and spending time outdoors.
