Certified Tutor

I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Health Science from Mount Royal University. In this degree, I have done a variety of biology courses, some of which include cellular and molecular biology, evolution of eukaryotes, genetics, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, histology, embryology, and microbiology. Throughout my time at university, I have tutored fellow students for mainly biology courses. I have also volunteered at the library for nearly 7 years tutoring math to young children through traditional and interactive methods. My favourite subjects to tutor are science (specifically biology) and math. I am passionate about helping students because I love learning and being in an environment where I can teach students in hopes of making a positive difference and empowering students to reach their full potential. I listen carefully to understand a student's learning needs and adapt my teaching strategy accordingly. In addition to teaching, I suggest study strategies and tips to my students, which can assist them in other subjects as well. I find pleasure when I am able to guide a student through a difficult concept. Outside of academics, I enjoy watching Bollywood movies, exercising, reading popular science books, and spending time with family.
