Certified Tutor

I graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honors Bachelor of Science in 2020, just as the pandemic hit. I majored in Immunology and Computational Biology with a minor in Computer Science. Since then, I have been pursuing my graduate studies in Neuroscience at the University of Calgary.
I have continuously tutored middle and high school students since graduating high school, through my former middle/high school and a tutoring company in Japan. I mainly focus on tutoring science (biology, chemistry) and mathematics.
I am passionate about these subjects because these were my weakest points throughout my middle and early high school years. I was a student getting C's,D's, and even F's in these subjects until I met teachers that helped me solidify the foundational knowledge (resulting in IB Math SL 7 in 11th grade and IB Math HL 6 in 12th grade), and I hope to do the same for the students here. One of my happiest moments in teaching is when a student understands a concept and begins to gain confidence.
I strongly believe that my job is to not only help students get better grades but also to gain confidence in their knowledge and learning. This opens doors to many opportunities and curiosities to shape their future.
