Nelson Mandela once stated that "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." I strongly agree with this statement. While education can provide a way out for many, we cannot ignore the fact that not everyone will have access to valuable education and that is very unfortunate. I think as educators our duty is to ensure that every student we encounter are provided with the best level of teaching and numerous opportunities to achieve their goals. This means that we will stop at nothing to ensure we are passing on quality education in an environment that facilitates growth and learning. For this to happen, teaching has to be something that you love and that you are passionate about. You have to understand that you never stop learning. You have to be constantly finding new and exciting ways to reach the different types of learners you will come across.
I became a teacher because it is my passion. Even when I am not in a classroom I am always thinking of new ways to teach lessons. I watch a lot of useful YouTube videos for ideas. I take online workshops and I attend seminars of master teachers, so that I am always learning and always keeping up with current best practices that can help my students achieve the goals they set for themselves. It is always useful to different resources that can aid in student's understanding of a topic. Therefore, I will always try to be prepared to deal with obstacles that my present themselves on this journey.
