Certified Tutor

I am an artist, published art critic(Glasstire), web developer and animated filmmaker (The Flying Dutchess, Sails of Honor). As a teacher and private tutor, my instructional style combines visuals like infographics, charts and color-coded timelines, extra links to videos, some occasional humor, and review minigames. More than anything else, I find great fulfillment in assisting my students in teaching themselves further and attaining credit-worthy college scores on the AP or IB exams. Learning how to learn is so often overlooked in schools at all levels. A tremendous value is gained in understanding one's learning type and how best to capitalize on techniques for that learning style. I took several AP exams in high school, receiving a perfect 5/5 on the AP Art History test (sophomore year). The tests have changed slightly since the AP Board annually makes adjustments, yet tutoring several students over the last few years has forced us to stay cognizant of these variations. Our guidance and preparation will help the students get the score they or you would like on these AP/IB tests. The college credit from an AP test is worth its weight in gold especially compared to the cost of these credit hours in universities nationwide. No historical or artistic period is boring. There exist only dull educators who suck the vitality out of history.
Tutoring fees are nothing compared to the cost of taking these subjects later by the credit hour in college, especially at the more exemplary university. Nevertheless, even more, technical subjects like Javascript, film editing and video game development can be mastered by anyone who plays into how they learn best and has the determination to succeed. Several of my students get their instruction/tutoring in Spanish or French instead of English (fluent conversationalist/writer ) for all except coding/programming subjects.
