I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Hello students,

I am a 24-year-old graduate student enrolled in the Doctoral of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. At the end of my undergraduate career, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. I was also a scholarship NCAA gymnast and competed for West Chester all 4 years. These experiences contributed greatly to my passion for movement science, Physical Therapy, mentorship, and teaching. I think it is essential for students seeking additional support to have access to tutors, teachers, and professors who can meet them at their current level of ability and maximize their learning experience in each class. Students of all ages have many necessary expectations from educators placed on them in class.

However, as educators, it is important that we maintain a certain level of versatility when teaching students. It does not matter how knowledgeable we as educators if we are unable to make concepts comprehensible to students learning the material for the first time. Some of the most influential educators are individuals who challenge students in new ways that help them gain independence and develop new ideas during independent study time. I am hopeful that my tutoring sessions help many students discover new strengths, gain confidence in class, and use new study tips and methods that can be used for the rest of their school career.

I have always loved school and learning new and challenging concepts. I credit greatly some amazing tutors, teachers, and professors who went the extra mile to help me gain confidence in especially challenging classes. I hope that your tutoring experience is a positive one that provides you with the tools you need to be successful in reaching your goals for class. I look forward to working with you.
