Certified Tutor

我目前第二年药房学生the University of Maryland, Baltimore pursuing my doctorate degree. I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Howard University. My most recent work includes tutoring middle school aged students through A Bride to Academic Excellence, a program at my institution. Tutors in this program also serve as mentors. It is a perfect setting for them to see how they can become academically successful, especially when they see someone of the same ethnic background attending Pharmacy school. In addition, I worked for about a year with an online platform teaching basic English grammar, syntax and conversational skills to Chinese students ages 5-12 using scaffolding techniques. It was such a joy to work with these students because they always kept me on my toes! I provided an engaging environment for the youth and creatively introduced the lessons. Overall, I am most passionate about teaching science and mathematics courses. A lot of people underestimate the power of education and how it can change your perspective of looking at life. Education provides us with the tools needed to thrive in a world of opportunity. In my leisure time I like to cook Caribbean delicacies, do arts and crafts, watch movies with my 5 year-old daughter, shop and travel.
