Certified Tutor

I am a highly motivated Allied Health professional with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Administration from Drexel University and I am CPC certified with the AAPC. I am also a licensed Assistant Living Administrator with the New Jersey Department of Health and Human Services. In the near future, I plan to become a Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM) with the AAPC. I have experience teaching medical coding (ICD-10) and medical terminology and will be teaching these subjects with Varsity Tutors. I love the healthcare industry and have mentored many colleagues who were interested in transitioning from medical billing to medical coding. My favorite subject to tutor is medical coding because I enjoy helping others with navigating the complexities of the language.
My teaching philosophy can be described as "Great things never come with comfort zones". During sessions, I ask the student what they are hoping to achieve from the session and design a plan to assist the student with reaching their target goals. When I am not working, I like to attend jazz concerts, make natural soaps, and spend time with my loved ones.
