I am a recent Hunter College undergrad (majored in Neuroscience) working as a Biology and Chemistry teacher at Lower Manhattan Art Academy (a Title 1 school) during the day and tutoring in the evening. I have been tutoring since high school in all subjects, and more recently, college students in Statistics and high school juniors in SAT prep. I also spent this last winter abroad in Ecuador teaching high school students the English language. I have an extra close connection with middle and high school students as I have two brothers in those grades and through my other previous/current experiences. I volunteer with the Red Cross where I am a part of the PillowCase seminars where I go into middle school classes and stress the importance of fire safety. I also volunteer with Peer Health Exchange, an organization that delivers 9th graders health seminars to those that may not receive health class in high school. Lastly, I volunteered at Rockefeller University Science OutReach Lab where I instruct middle/high school students basic science laboratory techniques and share some of my college experience. I look forward to sharing my knowledge in a variety of subjects and getting to know each student that is lucky enough to have me as a tutor. Best, Miles Dijan
