I was born and raised in a family of teachers and principals, and from an early age I learned how quality educators can make all the difference in a person's understanding and interest in a subject. In college, I became more interested in how the brain learns and works and studied Neuroscience, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Dallas. I have finished two years at McGovern Medical School and am currently taking some time off. My teaching approach centers around breaking down concepts into their most basic parts and applying those concepts to whatever area is of need. I believe in trying to integrate a student's current interests (be it sports, music, etc) into the subject material when possible to help "bring it to life". I also strongly value the role of trust between a tutor and student, and believe that optimal learning occurs in a trusting environment. I have experience tutoring all ages, and in a wide range of disciplines. I look forward to helping the student meet their goals in whatever way I can!
