I have an extensive background in science (specifically biology and chemistry) and believe that STEM subjects are vital to our future. Though science and math seem like intimidating subjects to many, I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn and understand how they can be useful to our every day life. I feel that learning is like building a house. When you start with a solid foundation and add knowledge one layer at a time, you end up with a strong, balanced understanding of the material.

I love to laugh and have a fun, energetic personality. I like to stay active by running and working out as often as possible. I am active in my community and when I have spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
