I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Economics from Willamette University. Willamette is a small Liberal Arts college. I greatly benefited from the small class sizes and the small department size. During this time I worked as both a grader for Economic Statistics and as a Tutor for the Introduction to Microeconomics Course. My senior thesis was primarily focused on Labor Economics, but I really enjoy the Micro and Macro Courses, foundations are key! I took upper division Math and Statistics courses as part of my Economics Degree requirements. I also minored in Politics. Like most Liberal Arts Universities, I was required to courses in a variety of subjects which enabled me to hone my critical thinking skills. I even tutored some students in my Principles of Biology class since the Professor thought I was doing so well, though Biology is not my key focus as a tutor with Varsity Tutors. Prior to attending Willamette, I obtained the International Baccalaureate as part of my high school curriculum.
I am headed to graduate school at CU Denver to pursue a Ph.D. in Public Affairs. I plan to study tax policy, focusing on economic impacts. I just took the GRE's in the last year so I have refreshed my standardized testing skills and more basic subjects (Algebra, Geometry, Vocabulary). I love teaching and look forward to working with students. I hope to help them achieve their goals and improve their knowledge in a variety of subjects and tests.
