Certified Tutor

Matt is currently a tutor with Varsity tutors. He most recently was working as a high school Algebra 1 tutor at Lincoln HS in Coney Island through Saga Innovations. He joined SAGA after spending two years in San Francisco, CA, first as hotel front desk agent and then as a summer camp counselor for youth sports.

Prior to moving to San Francisco, CA, Matt helped train new agents as the front desk trainer at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center. Matt began his professional career volunteering for his alma mater as an assistant HS football coach. There, he assisted the JV and Varsity teams teaching football fundamentals, strategy, and character for young men.

Matt graduated from Whitman College in 2012, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. During his college years, Matt captained and coached the men's rugby team and is an everlasting alumni supporter of the team. He was a social and scholarship chairman for the Sigma Chi Fraternity. In 2010, Matt was a counselor at Blue Mountain Ranch Summer Camp in Colorado, the summer camp he attended for 7 years as a youth.

As a 2008 graduate from St. Stephen's Episcopal High School in Austin, Matt was influenced by his involvement in a liberal arts education and through his many different extracurricular activities such as football, crew, theater, student government and his love of reading and video games.

Matt continually strives to diversify his interests and knowledge of the world around him and within the cosmos of academia. Matt's goal is to reach out and share this knowledge as a counselor, coach, and mentor to the young scholars and athletes. To fulfill this goal, Matt seeks coaching opportunities for kids of all ages, tutors high school math, and is pursuing a career as a school counselor at Brooklyn College.
