I recently graduated with a BA in Mathematics, specializing in Statistics, from The College of New Jersey. I worked with many classmates, friends, and friends of friends during my time there. Some of the qualities that I find most important in a tutor are patience, understanding, and encouragement. It may take some time and repetition for students to grasp a concept, and there is nothing wrong with that. Everyone has certain methods from which they learn the best, and will learn at different rates. I was always especially interested in Math when teachers found ways to tie Math topics to interests from daily life, and I look to do the same with the students I work with!
