我是一个适应力强、交际的导师,broad knowledge base and varied teaching experiences. After graduating magna cum laude from Georgetown University, I studied and worked on sustainable development issues in Washington, D.C. for several years. I am now pursuing a career in education. What is your teaching philosophy?

My philosophy regarding education is that each student has it within themselves to surpass what they see as their limits. I believe that each person is an individual, with their own strengths, interests and challenges, and is capable of overcoming learning challenges provided that they are taught in a way that incorporates their interests and plays to their strengths.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a first lesson, I first take time with the student and parent to learn about their background: which areas have posed difficulties, what subjects are easier, and the specific goals they hope to attain through tutoring. I then work with the student to assess their current level of knowledge, review materials currently assigned by their school, and discuss their learning style.
