Certified Tutor

I completed my B.A. in English at Western Washington University, and my M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Adelphi University. I am excited to work with students of all ages on their path to becoming better readers and writers. I believe in inspiring others to reach their potential in this amazing subject.

During my time in graduate school in New York, I taught two sections of English 109: Introduction to Creative Writing. I have held and participated in many writing workshops, offering critiques while also embracing criticism from my colleagues and students. My love for English started at a young age, and during college, I set the goal for myself to become a teacher.

Every day is a learning experience and I believe that both student and tutor have a partnership in learning together. My time in higher education was when I fully came to appreciate the power of the written word.
