Max
Certified Tutor
I just graduated from the University of Utah, where I majored in Middle East studies with an emphasis in Arabic. I fell in love with tutoring at a young age when I started helping my friends out with their homework in high school. My teaching philosophy is very simple, everyone can be a great student, sometimes they just need to be taught a little differently. As a tutor, my job is to make my students understand. If a student is struggling with something a new point of view or a different explanation may change their understanding. Right now, I am working as a teaching fellow at a local high school in Denver. I teach primarily Algebra I and II, but I get in a lot of practice with some more elementary math and lots of geometry (my favorite math!). In the next year, I would like to have my teaching license. I am quick to joke and make even the shyest, least interested student giggle. In the end, if you are looking for a tutor who really invests himself into his students achievement, look no further, your student's success is my greatest reward. When not tutoring you can find me in my kitchen. I am the son of a chef and it was in the kitchen where I first learned math.
