I received my M.S. in Crisis and Management Psychology from Walden University shortly after receiving my B.A. in Psychology from Capital University. Also at Walden, I spent quite a bit of time studying Counseling Psychology which I enjoyed very much. In the next few years I hope to return to school and finish the one class and the internship I need to complete my counseling degree.

I tutor Spanish from conversational Spanish up through Spanish 3. I have approximately 20 years experience with the language including tutoring adolescents and teaching adults who have wanted to learn the language for their own benefit. I currently live in Miami, Florida and speak Spanish daily both inside and outside of my home with native speakers. I understand the feeling of learning a second language and the challenges that come along with it. I am here to help you through those challenges in order to create a more confident Spanish speaker! If homework help and/or test prep is your need, we will work through your assignments together answering your questions along the way in a manner that works best for you.

I am also a Psychology professor at two universities. I tutor Psychology which is an intriguing and fun subject to learn. Understanding the influences psychology has on development, perception, and behavior is fascinating. My tutoring style focuses on thorough explanation of psychological concepts while utilizing references and real life examples, so that students are able to not only learn the material, but also obtain the ability to become independent within the subject matter.

I absolutely love helping students in both subjects. Seeing the lightbulb go off when a student understands a new Spanish verb tense or when a psychological concept finally makes sense, is so exciting. Both subjects can be fairly challenging and I love to make it a bit easier with my years of knowledge in both areas.

In my spare time I love to dance salsa, merengue, kizomba and bachata, DJ, hang out at the beach, and read! I am an avid animal lover and have two tiny chihuahuas.
