Certified Tutor

I attended undergraduate school at the University of Florida and obtained a bachelor's degree in Food Science and Nutrition in 1977. I obtained a graduate degree in biochemistry from the University of South Carolina in 1992. Since graduation, I did postdoctoral research at Scripps Research Institute and the National Center for Toxicological Research. I currently work as a molecular biologist for the United States Department of Agriculture and I teach Chemistry at the local community college. I am capable of tutoring a broad range of math and science subject but I am most passionate about biochemistry, chemistry, nutrition, and biologicial sciences. I am very passionat and patient with students that have a desire to learn challenging science subjects. I am a firm proponent of education as a means of pursuing career goals and objectives in life. I try to communicate this philosophy to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy tennis, basketball, running biking, racquetball, and reading non-fiction books.
