Certified Tutor

Learning is an adventure! Through out my college education and my ten years of teaching, I have sought out learning opportunities all over the US and the world. I hope to share these experiences with your student.

I am a graduate of Northern Arizona University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Educational Technology. I have worked as a coordinator of a challenge course and taught 3rd, 4th, 5th grades and coached GED students. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate elementary math and the politics of history. In my experience the most powerful learning comes when a student has a concrete experience with use and labeling of strong academic vocabulary. I believe that education is the best way to empower a child to become a successful and prosperous adult. In my spare time, I enjoy reading both fiction and historical biographies, playing disc golf and watching great film.
