Certified Tutor

I have been teaching and tutoring physics regularly since the fall of 2007. While attending Ithaca College, (Fall 2007-Spring 2010) I was employed by the physics department as a Teacher’s Assistant (TA) as well as a study group facilitator. As a TA, I was assigned to answer questions during class and lab work as well as grade homework assignments. I also had the opportunity to give lectures when the professor was absent. As a study group facilitator, I held office hours twice a week where students could come in and receive help on homework or any other question regarding their introductory physics class. From 2011-present I have been working part time as a physics and math tutor. I work with students from 9th grade to college on a very wide variety of physics and math topics.

I have had a passion for physics and math since I was very young and have been studying and or teaching it for about 8 years. I majored in general physics and graduated with a 3.9 GPA. I have tutored countless students on all the basic topics and fundamentals. Simply put, I love the subject and get enjoyment out of teaching it to others. This drives me to the best possible teacher I can be. My ultimate goal is to make learning physics and math fun and to get the student to not only understand it, but to enjoy it as well.
