I am a graduate of Villanova University and the University of Arizona, where I received my Masters of Arts and Bachelors of Arts, respectively, in History. While studying for my degrees I focused on American history and history of culture. While in college and graduate school I worked extensively as a tutor and teaching assistant in English, History and essay writing, and I worked with the YMCA as an elementary age tutor. I believe that learning is inherently a collaboration and conversation between student and teacher, and I love being a part of that conversation. My favorite part of teaching is the moment when students make breakthroughs; those moments of pride and understanding are what make teaching such a rewarding experience! In my spare time I love reading, playing my guitar, writing short stories and songs, running and playing baseball.
