Certified Tutor

Being a tutor is a job not to be taken lightly. It requires passion, dedication, a love of learning and teaching, and also patience. A tutor is someone who is non-judgmental and one who is able to place himself/herself in a student's shoes. A good relationship between a tutor and his/her students is also of the utmost importance. My tutoring style consists of creating objectives for each lesson, providing check points along the lesson to ensure understanding, and explaining a subject in more than one way. I also summarize the lesson at the end and provide learning pearls as well as mnemonics to make it easier for my students to grasp the concepts. I also like to see how a student approaches a given problem before I can guide them into the right direction. My hobbies include sports and fitness, music, and reading. My long term goal is to become an educator and/or a public speaker.
