What is your teaching philosophy?
我知道每个学生的情况和印第安纳州ividual needs are unique. I work with students to understand where they would like to improve and then craft a study plan to help them achieve their personal goals. As a result, each session I teach is different because the structure of my lessons with students is determined by the students' needs and goals.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In my first session with a student, I have two main goals. First, I try to understand the student's situation and to learn as much as I can about what the student needs help with. Second, I want to work with the student to develop a study plan that we both like and that we both agree to stick to moving forward. I believe that achieving these two goals in the first 15 to 20 minutes with a student ensures that we are both clear about the goals we are working to achieve and how we intend to do so. After setting this plan with my students, I then like to get right into the material they would like to work on!
