Certified Tutor

I am a student at Queen's University entering my third year pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Honors in English Language and Literature.Throughout my final two years of high school, I was well known amongst my classmates and teachers for conducting tutoring sessions over FaceTime in the days preceding tests; during my first year of university, I tutored a student in high school French. I enjoy tutoring because I have a genuine passion for helping and connecting with people.
When tutoring, I always try to think of ways to present material that will excite and engage students, as I believe people learn and retain the most when they are enjoying themselves. I also prioritize understanding above memorization, which means I'm a big proponent of practice exercises and I'll explain things as many times and as many ways as you need!
My favourite subjects to tutor are English and literature, as they have always been my favourite to learn, too. Accordingly, outside of schooling, I love reading. I might also be found singing, playing guitar, and spending time in nature!
