Certified Tutor

I am:
31 years old, a student currently attending the College of the North Atlantic (CNA) Ridge Road campus, NL; Mechanical Engineering Technology (Manufacturing) program, a Personal Care Attendant / Home Support Worker (PCA/HSW), a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), a volunteer, a patented inventor of the Splinted Compression Bandage, and Chief Innovation Officer of a tech firm.

I started tutoring students with special needs, in Math when I was in grade 5. I continued to tutor my classmates throughout grade school in Math and Chemistry.

While working as a Nurse, I would consistently volunteer to take on student nurses, during their practicums. I have always said that there are no stupid questions and I always encourage my students to ask about anything that they are unsure about.

Since the pandemic, I have been tutoring my nieces (ages 7-9) with their Math and Reading skills (English and French), so they can stay up to date in their studies while we navigate the online learning/ closure schedules.

I'm currently attending the CNA Manufacturing program. I was recommended by my Math 1700, 1101 and Chemistry 1120 instructors to become a Peer Tutor in those subjects!
