When I was younger I often struggled in school, so I understand the challenges that lead to many student's frustrations. However, I have overcome my initial challenges, and now love the learning process. My favorite subjects to teach are math and science. I feel comfortable teaching to any age or ability level. As a Biomedical Engineer working in R&D, and a recent graduate of the University of Rochester, I have been exposed to all types of teaching strategies, and am very flexible with my approach depending on the student.

What is your teaching philosophy?
When it comes to teaching my priority is flexibility and adaptability to the student. From personal experience I have found the most effective educators cater directly to the needs of an individual student.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
First sessions for me will typically involve an assessment of the student’s current ability level in the given subject. Also, a major priority will be answering any pressing questions the student may have.
